There is no doubt that the furniture industry is going green and so does other industries. And since there is a lot more emphasis given to things looking natural, it is not surprising that we see more and more furniture like this
one from
J.D. Madison.
Actually, I have not heard about this company until I came across their really cool table and chairs collection. At first glance I though it was made out of plastic designed with wood textures. But it appears that they are made from recycled or reclaimed wood. That means production of these furniture has minimum impact on the environment.
The said furniture is designed by Brent Comber, a designer based in Vancouver. The design studio used branches and twigs of maple, cedar, and Douglas fir. The raw materials used in the said furniture would have ended up being waste products. But thanks to the ingenuity of the designer, it was made into really cool furniture.
The furniture looks so cool that I am thinking of buying one instead of a
folding chair. Or maybe I can just make one. Fat chance though as it looks like it is precision made and even if I am into DIY projects, I do not have the talent and the equipments needed to create these furniture pieces.
